Pick up the pilot first
The official mission is for pilot/coast guard boats. Request the pilot or inspection job over VHF, go to the harbor office, align the gangway with the dock and secure the mooring lines tightly. Wait for the boarding progress bar to finish before leaving.
Guide notes
Make the moving transfer
Approach from behind on the target’s starboard quarter—the manual describes the five-o’clock position. Position the fender, close toward the ladder and match speed. Avoid pressing against the hull: the manual specifically warns about the channel effect. Keep steady while the pilot climbs.

If boarding does not start
Check the mission stage, vessel type and alignment before searching for a special hotkey. Dock pickup and ship-to-ship transfer use different positioning conditions. The checked manual does not establish a universal keyboard shortcut for extending every boarding stair.
